Topical mouth and throat products include agents such as antifungals, antiseptics, cough suppressants and saliva substitutes. 
They are used to treat conditions of the mouth and throat such as oral thrush, dry mouth, sore throat and tickly cough.

Artificial Saliva Powder

  • It is used to treat dry mouth.
  • How is this medicine (Artificial Saliva Powder) best taken?

    Use artificial saliva powder as ordered by your doctor. Read all information given to you. Follow all instructions closely.
    • Mix powder with water only as you have been told.
    • NeutraSal®: Swish 1/2 the solution in the mouth for 1 minute and spit out; repeat with the rest of the solution. Do not eat or drink for at least 15 minutes after use.
    • SalivaMAX and Salivate Rx: Swish 1/2 the solution in the mouth for 1 minute and spit out; repeat with the rest of the solution. Do not eat or drink for at least 30 minutes after use.
    • Do not swallow this medicine.

Nystatin Tablets and Capsules

  • It is used to treat many fungal infections.
  • Use this medicine (nystatin tablets and capsules) as ordered by your doctor. Read all information given to you. Follow all instructions closely.
    • Take with or without food.
    • To gain the most benefit, do not miss doses.
    • Keep using this medicine as you have been told by your doctor or other health care provider, even if you feel well.

Clotrimazole

  • It is used to treat or prevent fungal infections in the mouth.

  • How is this medicine (Clotrimazole) best taken?

    Use this medicine as ordered by your doctor. Read all information given to you. Follow all instructions closely.
    • Melt slowly in your mouth.
    • Do not swallow it whole.
    • Do not chew, break, or crush.
    • Keep using clotrimazole as you have been told by your doctor or other health care provider, even if you feel well.
